Our Story
Shannon Mehaffey Ory
Owner + Consultant for Avila Senior Advisors
After graduating from Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans, LA, Shannon completed a degree in Health Administration with a concentration in Senior Housing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
For over ten years, Shannon has worked and managed in a variety of senior care settings: Southwestern Indiana’s Area Agency on Aging, assisted living and memory care communities throughout the country, a home care/sitter agency, and full-time Christian mission work in which she visited the homebound, aging and sick.
Through Avila Senior Advisors, Shannon is responding to a need that she has seen throughout the last decade of work in the senior care industry: Families need accompaniment as they care for their aging relatives. Families want peace of mind knowing they’ve done everything possible for their loved one’s care. Shannon works to deliver expert guidance, clear options, and a plan—so families can move forward with confidence.
Shannon currently resides in River Ridge, LA, with her husband and two children.
